About

The Public Pension Agency (PPA) in Saudi Arabia is a government entity responsible for managing retirement and pension schemes for civil and military employees.

It was initially established in 1958 under the name “Retirement Pension Directorate” and later became the Public Pension Agency.

In 2021, the PPA was merged with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI), with GOSI taking over all PPA’s responsibilities.

Scope Of Work

This workshop successfully delivered a COBIT 2019 Foundation to 17 employees of the Public Pension Agency.

This initiative aimed to equip participants with a foundational understanding of the COBIT 2019 framework, focusing on its principles for effective IT governance and management.

The training enhanced their ability to align IT with organizational objectives, manage IT-related risks, and optimize resource utilization, thereby strengthening the agency’s overall IT governance posture and supporting its critical role in managing public pensions.

Achievements & Deliverables

Over its duration, this project successfully equipped 17 employees of the Public Pension Agency with a foundational understanding of the COBIT 2019 framework, a significant achievement that established a common language and approach to IT governance and management within the organization.

This initiative enhanced the agency's internal capability to align IT operations directly with strategic business objectives, particularly crucial for managing sensitive public pension data and services. Furthermore, it improved awareness and skills in managing IT-related risks and optimizing IT resource utilization, thereby contributing to a more robust, secure, and efficient IT environment essential for the Public Pension Agency's critical operations.
