About
The Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) is a regional organization established to enhance the reliability and stability of electricity supply across the Gulf region.
It was founded in 2001 with the goal of connecting the power grids of the six GCC countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
