About

The Electricity & Co-Generation Regulatory Authority (ECRA), now known as the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority (SERA), is a governmental body in Saudi Arabia responsible for regulating and overseeing the electricity and water desalination sectors.

It was established to ensure the provision of safe, reliable, and reasonably priced electricity and desalinated water to consumers.

Scope Of Work

This project focused on delivering ITIL V3 Foundation workshop to over 30 employees from the Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority (SERA). The primary objective was to equip a significant portion of SERA’s staff with a fundamental understanding of the ITIL V3 framework, encompassing its core concepts, terminology, and principles for effective IT Service Management (ITSM).

This initiative aimed to foster a common, service-oriented language and enhance awareness of internationally recognized best practices, ultimately strengthening SERA’s capacity to regulate and oversee the electricity sector with improved IT operational efficiency and service quality.

Achievements & Deliverables

This project successfully delivered ITIL V3 Foundation training to over 30 SERA employees, significantly enhancing their foundational understanding of IT Service Management.

As a key achievement, this initiative fostered a common service-oriented language and improved awareness of ITIL best practices within SERA, laying crucial groundwork for increased IT operational efficiency and improved service quality.
